testimonials
“Tasniya brings to life this concept of positive discipline in a way that makes it palpable and relatable.”
“ I am very grateful that Tasniya shared Positive Discipline with me and a fellow teacher. I was feeling quite discouraged after this past school year. Reading Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom gave me hope. It was really exciting to practice some of things I read about and to see how responsive the children were. I could see that they felt more heard and possibly more connected to me. It was helpful to have the opportunity to discuss things with Tasniya and the other member of our book club. This book gave me insight into myself as an educator and really made me feel like I wasn’t alone in the challenges I was facing. It also offered some pretty useful tools. I am excited to practice these tools some more”
“I highly recommend Tasniya’s Positive Discipline workshop! Tasniya is an amazing communicator and excellent at facilitating the information in a clear and respectful way. The topics covered and the exercises practiced helped me and my husband to more clearly think through some tough parenting moments and recall tools and strategies that Tasniya shared with us!”
“This is a much needed workshop. It feels very validating to hear other parents’ experiences. I learned valuable skills that I will definitely try with my children.”
“Tasniya’s positive discipline session helped me understand my child’s thought process when I set limits which opens this opportunity for me to respond more compassionately since I can understand him a bit more. Observing my child more objectively keeps me in a calm place in the moment so having time and safe space to go there with Tasniya and other parents was extremely helpful and relieving. ”
“The role playing was effective. It provided a platform for an informed discussion. I appreciate deeply the vulnerability displayed by the participants and Tasniya”
“The experiential exercises and honest discussion and collaboration filling in objectives, parenting styles, characteristics was very helpful to me. I generally enjoyed the format of exposure to topic, seeing it modeled by Tasniya and then practicing it.”
“I have been teaching for 27 years and yet I learned a lot from the role playing and presentation that I benefited a lot from Tasniya’s workshop.”
“Tasniya was incredibly engaging. The resources shared were thoughtfully prepared. The exercises were very relevant. It was truly worthwhile!”
“Tasniya’s 4 session PD workshop was a worthwhile investment for me and my family. I was able to learn new, practical skills and practice using them with Tasniya and other parents. The atmosphere was always inviting and I felt the community building stronger with each session. The sense of community was an impactful and encouraging factor for me, as a homeschooling parent with limited support. I would definitely refer this course to novice and experienced parents and professionals looking to begin or enhance their positive discipline journey.”
“Having the opportunity to role playing as parents and children various times was effective. Then having the immediate time to reflect on that. I love the 3 questions Tasniya asked: ‘what were you feeling, thinking, and deciding to do?”
“It was a wonderful experience to do this book club with Tasniya. It was nice to have her coach us as we read the book. We could ask her questions about the week’s content to see how it could be applied to our real experiences. Tasniya came to each session prepared and organized. Tasniya is so knowledgable, respectful and a great listener. I am so grateful to have her and her expertise as a resource and support.”
