Our story
In Arabic, the word 'Barakah' means abundant blessings. True to its name, Fountain of Barakah’s mission is to be a source of abundant blessings and service to our community.
The Fountain of Barakah parenting support group was established to support the entire family unit: the child, the parents, and the family as a whole. To raise healthy children, parents need guidance, companionship, and community. Like our ancestors, we need the support of a vibrant "village" to help raise the next generation. As parents and educators, our primary role is to nurture and guide the children entrusted to us, yet this is often the area where we lack the most knowledge, support, and confidence.
Fountain of Barakah is here to bridge that gap. We recognize that parents need mentorship and a community rooted in values that connect us to our children in loving, compassionate ways. While we all yearn to discipline with both kindness and firmness, we often struggle to strike that balance.
Using various modalities and tools, we mentor parents on how to engage with their children by fostering a sense of belonging and significance. We believe that children thrive when treated with dignity and respect. Through our courses and workshops, we equip parents with positive discipline tools to help break generational cycles of neglect and empower them to respond to their children in healthy ways.
Please Note: While we do not offer clinical therapy services, our goal is to coach and mentor parents and teachers to reflect deeply and create healthy social-emotional environments.
We are excited to welcome you to our village. It is an honor to be of service to you!
